We’d love you to join us at Craigsfarm for the next monthly conservation volunteering sessions. The sessions are led by the Riverlife team in partnership with Craigsfarm Community Hub and will focus on the local area around Craigshill.
Meet at Craigsfarm to register between 9.30am and 10am to head out shortly after. Safety equipment will be provided but, but please dress for the outdoors – i.e. sturdy waterproof shoes (like wellies) and a warm coat. The sessions we will be doing include path maintenance and building to enable better access to the riverbank for all and to protect the environment around the path.
Why conservation? Through the work with Craigshill Regeneration Group, it was identified that the care and maintenance of outdoor spaces was a local priority. Lots of people have offered to lend Craigsfarm hand here and there so it was decided it would be good to get a group together to make a difference – at Riverlife we have the skills and resources to make this possible!
We normally walk about 10-15 minutes to the riverbank and the ground is uneven when we get there. Please let us know if you feel this would be challenging for you.
