Kirkton weir fish pass is almost complete

There are now just a few finishing touches to do on the fish pass at Kirkton weir, the first in a series of barrier easement works taking place on the River Almond over the next three years.  The body of the larinier fish pass is in place and secure and the portadam has been removed, allowing water to flow through the pass for the first time.  We are now awaiting the baffles which will be installed on the bottom of the pass.
